Vinyl Chloride is a known carcinogen.  People who have been exposed to vinyl chloride are at risk for many diseases, including angiosarcoma, cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer and liver disease.

Vinyl Chloride is found in Polyvinyl Chloride, commonly known as PVC. It was often used in the plastics, construction, and automobile industries.  Vinyl Chloride was also used in many aerosol products such as hairspray, paint, and glue prior to 1974.

People at risk of becoming sick from Vinyl Chloride exposure include individuals who, prior to 1974, worked at plants that used Vinyl Chloride to manufacture products or were exposed to aerosol products, such as beauticians.
